Cisco 2960 WS-C2960G-24TC-L
Quite unusual, not listed on the Cisco website 2960 “G” series WS-C2960G-24TC-L with 20 Ethernet 10/100/1000 ports and 4 dual-purpose uplinks
Introduction
Basic datasheet
- 20 Ethernet 10/100/1000 ports
- 4 dual-purpose uplinks - 4 T/Small Form-Factor Pluggable
Why unusual ?
Dimensions - compared to other 2690 series models (C2960-48TT-L, 48-TC-L, 24TT-L, 24TC-L) dimensions 1.73 x 17.5 x 9.3 in. (4.4 x 44.5 x 23.6 cm) the “G” has higher depth. This is most likely due to Delta DPSN-125CP power supply unit which is big bigger than Delta DPSN 60-CP or Astec.
Components - 6 * TCAM and 3 huge Cisco SASQUATCH8G IC’s. Trying to search anything on any Cisco propriatory hadrware results in no findings. Apart from few links on Aliexpress. Not sure about the role.
Cisco Series overview - No remark on the “G” series in the main overview. Apart from EOL notice there is no dedicated content page.
1000 speed over the base ports C2960-48TT-L, 48-TC-L, 24TT-L, 24TC-L have 10/100 base ports, in G (is it Gigabit?) all ports are 10/100/1000
